Mark grew up playing soccer in Melbourne, FL where he lettered playing defense for Melbourne High School.

That year they went on to compete in the final four in the Florida State Championships. After graduation he went to Mississippi College on a soccer scholarship for two years. He then transferred to Columbia International University where he majored in Bible and Youth Ministry.  While at CIU Mark played for their Division 1 city soccer team. Director Mark Terry was an assistant coach for a U15 team in Clinton, MS and has coached at many different sports camps, including Kanakuk Kamp and Camp Ozark, to name a few. He held several soccer clinics in the Greenwood, SC area near Lander University. He has also coached some younger teams including U8, and U10 at New Heights Church soccer league.  Mark is also a certified sports condition specialist and gives private coaching when he can.

Mark is married to Jennifer, a dental hygienist at Dr. Butler's office in Irmo, and the mother of his three young children, Benton, Clara and John Michael.
My Life verse is:
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding: in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your path straight. Proverbs 3:5,6

Mark was asked the following questions:

What is your favorite sport?
“Actually it’s not soccer.  Soccer comes in a close second with Basketball being the first.  I’ve always wanted to be like Mike.  Mike is my father who was invited and played for the Chicago Bulls one summer before he chose to go back to school at Valdosta State University.”

Where would you like to vacation if given the choice?
“I love the mountains and the beach but really anywhere with my family would be great.”

What is your favorite sport you like to watch?
“College football and basketball I’ve always enjoyed watching.  Not until recently I’ve enjoyed Pro Football because of “FREE” Fantasy Football with friends.  Soccer is fun to watch on the big stage with World Cup and Gold Cup.  But, by far my favorite is watching my 6 year old play on a Saturday morning.”

What is your favorite book?
“The Bible, it is our manual for anything in life and our love letter straight from our Lord and Creator, Jesus Christ.”

What is your favorite food?
“New York Pizza, but when I can’t get that, I love a good full rack of ribs and when that is not available my wife’s cooking is incredible.”
